While the polo horses were resting it was the ideal time for me to go snowboarding in Baqueira. Instead of going to Punta del Este or Playa del Carmen where I usually spend NYE taking care of clients, I decided to skip the party scene and recharge my batteries before going to work in Dubai next month. Instead I’m continuing to keep fit and playing sports, and find myself enjoying the snow again after many years. I’m staying in the 5 star hotel AC which is just fabulous, and the first night I had the perfect dinner at Montana with a mix of friends from Madrid and Barcelona. Nico, one of my team, is an expert snowboarder and also has his own restaurant Eth Genial. This is who I’m spending my time with; taking his advice on the mountains and eating fantastic food at his restaurant – it couldn’t get much better!
